Meridian Discovery was founded by industry veterans who believed that there was a lot of room for improvement in the way traditional litigation support service providers were doing business. They decided to start a business focusing primarily on electronic evidence and operating as an engineering company.
Thanks to their business mentality, specifically their superb customer service, consistent quality and timeliness, they have been fortunate enough to work with several AM Law 100 law firms and Fortune 500 corporations.
Scalability and throughput
Electronic data discovery (EDD) involves extracting and converting very large amounts of unstructured data in short periods of time. We use multi-threaded and distributed processes that run on several workstations in parallel. These processes tax our network infrastructure, storage system and database servers heavily.
Our hosting service caters to corporations, law firms and government agencies who demand extreme reliability and performance. Downtime or data loss is not an option in the litigation support industry. Losing a server with critical data can put a legal team behind schedule and can be hurtful to all parties involved.
In addition to processing and storing extremely large amounts of data, our processes and infrastructure need to be very scalable. We frequently find ourselves in the middle of very large productions with little time to prepare. We do not like to be frowned upon when we need an additional 50 TB storage capacity with a week's notice.
A reliable technology partner
Meridian Discovery needed a technology partner that could grow and adapt as quickly as our business. We have relied on Dell technology to design a high performance, high availability infrastructure.
We have prepared several computer configurations with different roles that we can order from Dell within a few minutes. We found Dell products to be reliable, affordable and highly customizable.

The business of providing electronic litigation support services can be very challenging. Tight deadlines, high expectations and the fact that there is absolutely no room for error make this industry a tough one where only the best can survive.
Meridian Discovery has matured into a profitable and efficient company and we find it very rewarding to know that we have helped our customers collect, process, analyze, review and produce terabytes of data and millions of pages, helping them succeed one case at a time.
